Moline, Illinois:

Moline police are investigating a four-vehicle accident Sunday, which sent two people to the hospital.

The male driver of a pickup truck, whose name was not available Sunday night, was arrested after running a red light at 7:12 p.m., while traveling east on Avenue of the Cities, at 19th Street, said police Sgt. Kevin Cox. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, Sgt. Cox said.

The truck crashed into an Oldsmobile Alero that was northbound on 19th Street, he said, noting that the accident pushed the Alero into two westbound passenger cars that were stopped at the red light on Avenue of the Cities.

Emergency responders had to extricate the driver and passenger of the Alero, who were transported by ambulance to UnityPoint Health-Trinity in Rock Island, Sgt. Cox said. There were no other injuries in the crash.
