A worker installing an emergency generator at 740 Slope Trail hit a gas pipe, forcing road closures around the property for a little over an hour Wednesday, said Fire-Rescue Battalion Chief Dave Burke.

Police shut down Slope Trail between Country Club Road and El Dorado at 10:50 a.m., said Police Capt. Curtis Krauel. Traffic was diverted to North County Road.

Crews from Florida Public Utilities arrived and capped the leak by 12:10 p.m., Burke said. Fire-rescue cleared the scene and reopened the roads shortly after, he said.
