Man Ejected From Vehicle After Colliding With Semi Truck, Dies At Scene IN WINNEBAGO COUNTY, ILLINOIS.  HE WAS NOT WEARING A SEAT BELT.







WINNEBAGO COUNTY - The coroner’s office has released the name of the man who died Sunday afternoon after colliding with a semi truck on the route 20 Bypass, East of Interstate 39.  The victim is Matthew J. Hoeft, 19, of Juneau, Wisconsin. 



He lost control of his car heading Southbound of Interstate 39, crashed through a median and slammed into a semi truck which was traveling Northbound on I-39.  State police officials say Hoeft was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene of the crash. 



Investigators believe he was not wearing a seatbelt.  The death is under investigation by the Illinois State Police. 



An autopsy is pending by the Winnebago County Coroner's Office.
