FORREST COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI (WDAM) - 

A two-year old died early this morning from a one vehicle wreck on Highway 13 in south Forrest County in Mississippi.

According to Forrest County Coroner Butch Benedict, Michael Marty-Thomas Whisenant, 2, died from multiple internal injuries sustained in an 18 wheeler accident on Highway 13, about three miles west of Carnes.

According to Benedict, the child was an unrestrained passenger in the vehicle, and two adults were taken by ambulance to Forrest General Hospital.

The cause of the one-vehicle wreck is under investigation.

As of 9:45 both lanes of Hwy 13 are closed for cleanup.
