New Jersey: 400 accidents were reported during the "black ice Sunday", January 18, 2015

The cause of a crash that killed a person Sunday on Interstate 78 in Lebanon is still under investigation, according to the Associated Press. The victim died after a car rear-ended a salt truck around 7:20 a.m.

NJ.com reports that there were multiple crashes involving more than 20 vehicles Sunday. In one, at least 30 vehicles crashed on the New Jersey Turnpike. 

When all was said and done, tThe New Jersey State Police reported on Sunday that more than 400 accidents had occurred in the state due to the slick roads.

Elsewhere, flooding due to heavy rain closed all lanes of U.S. Route 22 east of Michigan Avenue in Union Township early Sunday evening, according to the NWS.
