SHALER (KDKA) – Saturday morning’s freezing rain caused many accident, and in one case, sent a salt truck barreling into a house.

It happened around 6:30 a.m. when a salt truck was coming down Weaver Drive in Shaler Township.

The driver said he was “just along for the ride” as the truck hit a patch of ice and slipped, then flipped over into someone’s home.

The homeowner was inside, heard a loud crash and then found the truck in their family room.
