I-65 SOUTH BETWEEN GRADE LANE AND FERN VALLEY ROAD IN KENTUCKY REOPENED AFTER FATAL ACCIDENT

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - I-65 South between Grade Lane and Fern Valley Road following a fatal car crash, according to MetroSafe.
Around 9:30 Sunday night, a disabled vehicle was stopped between the right two lanes when a pick-up truck rear ended it, according to a police spokesperson. The driver of the pick-up truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two lanes of the interstate was closed while officials completed their investigation. The vehicle had run out of gas and its owner had left the scene to get help, according to police. Officials were unable to say whether the car had its emergency flashers on.
Police say the driver of the disabled vehicle is cooperating with investigators.
