RALEIGH, NC — A motorist was killed after a pickup truck and electric utility truck collided at the intersection of Anderson Drive and Six Forks Road on Thursday afternoon.

That initial impact caused Paktiawal’s vehicle to collide with a 2005 Jeep Cherokee driven by John Allen Remling, 77, and occupied by Jane Cook Remling, 78. The Remling’s vehicle had been stopped on Anderson Drive at the intersection.

Paktiawal was pronounced dead at the scene. Smith was taken to Rex Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Remlings were not injured.
