DRIVER INJURED AFTER OIL TRUCK CARRYING HOME HEATING OIL CRASHES AND OVERTURNS IN CHERRY HILL, N.J.  OIL WAS SPILLED ONTO THE HIGHWAY.  HAZMAT TEAM WAS CALLED



CHERRY HILL, N.J. -- 

A driver was injured after losing control of a home oil delivery truck and crashing on I-295 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey early Tuesday morning.

The accident happened just past midnight in the southbound lanes near the exit for Route 73.

Police say truck overturned, spilling oil onto the highway.

Hazmat crews were called to the scene to contain the spill.

The driver was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.

Southbound traffic was detoured around the accident scene.

Motorists were advised to expect delays in the area.
