Police are investigating a fatal overnight crash in Northeast Austin. It happened just after 1:30 a.m. at Cloverleaf and Berkman Drive.
Police say the driver of a black Chevy Avalanche was heading East on Cloverleaf and ran a stop sign and hit a green Pontiac. The truck kept going, running into a yard and hitting a cinder block wall.

The driver of the Pontiac died at the scene. The driver of the Avalanche was arrested for possible DWI.

Sgt. Dustin Lee with the Austin Police Department says, "If it's shown during the investigating that we believe intoxication was the causing factor in the crash then the driver of the black Chevy could be charged with intoxication manslaughter."
