TOWNSHEND, Vt. (AP) - Police say a burst pipe caused the evacuation of an assisted living facility in Vermont on New Year’s Eve.




Valley Cares Executive Director Susanne Shapiro in Townshend tells the Brattleboro Reformer (http://bit.ly/1bI41RH) a pipe burst at about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and sent about 1,000 gallons of water into an apartment on the second floor.
