A 7-year-old girl died during a trailer home fire in northern Marinette County, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
At about 11:25 p.m. Monday, crews received a call of a fire on Collins Lane off Lilly Lake Road in the Town of Dunbar.
Crews arrived to find a trailer home with additions filling with smoke and fire.
A man and his 9-year-old son were able to escape the fire. The father tried to find his 7-year-old daughter, but he was unsuccessful, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The family’s pastor, Dave Coats, says the family is recovering at Northland International University.
“What you imagine if you lost your house, everything that you have, things dearest to you,” said Coats, “and so there is shock,  it is difficult to come to grips with the reality and that’s why were here.”
The name of the girl is not being released at this time.
Investigators believe the fire started near a fireplace. The trailer home is a loss.
Crews from multiple departments responded to the scene.
