CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- At least four people were reported injured after a truck crashed into two houses in Barangay San Isidro here Wednesday night.
Initial police reports said the accident happened around 9:00 p.m. when the truck evaded another vehicle before hitting the residential area.

"We were surprised because the truck almost caught us if we weren't able to dodge it. Unfortunately, my niece was hit because the truck was moving too fast for her to escape," said homeowner Bernie Salonga.
Macario defended himself by saying that he only attempted to avoid a pick-up truck, which eventually resulted to his truck colliding with the houses.
"The truck went out of control because the brake was probably not working. But I think I was only driving at around 30 kilometers per hour," he argued.

The homeowners, meanwhile, agreed to a settle the issue provided that the truck owner will pay for all of the damages incurred, the police added.
