The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a tanker truck was struck by a train about 2:15 p.m. Friday

EATON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a tanker truck was struck by a train about 2:15 p.m. Friday.

Troopers confirm that the tanker was empty when it was struck. The tanker had stalled on the tracks.

No one was injured when the train collided with the tanker truck.

State Route 83 between eastbound and westbound Capel Road was closed for several hours as a result of the accident.

The road was reopened by 7 p.m.
The train tracks have been cleared.
