Large Gas Leak Forces Evacuations Near Snook, Texas



 

 

 

BURLESON COUNTY - A large gas leak in Burleson County has been repaired.
The leak started around 3:30 a.m. at a well near Snook. David Bagley, the Emergency Management Coordinator for Burleson County, tells News 3 the leak was capped around 5:15 p.m. It had been leaking 2,700 cubic feet of natural gas per hour.
The well, owned by Comstock Resources out of Frisco, is located just east of FM 2155 and south of FM 1361.


Twenty five to 30 homes were evacuated. Everyone has been allowed to return home.
A number of roads were closed, but all of them have reopened.
