HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Rescue teams rushed four people to the hospital Sunday after a wreck on Menge Avenue.

We're told firefighters from West Harrison Fire, Pass Christian and Harrison County Fire Services used the Jaws of Life to extricate three people from an SUV and a pickup truck after the near head-on collision.

Harrison County Fire Chief Pat Sullivan says the accident sent four people to the hospital, two with serious injuries. Deputies closed Menge Ave. just south of Bells Ferry Rd. for almost an hour Sunday morning while firefighters used rescue tools to help rescue those trapped in the accident and then remove the wreckage.
