A Natoma teenager died Friday night in Rooks County following a car versus semi truck crash.




According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, at 9:30 PM Friday, a 1997 Ford Crown Victoria driven by 17-year-old Keller Anthony Krug of Waldo was southbound on US Highway 183 two miles south of Plainville.




Krug lost control on the ice, slid across the highway and struck a northbound 2012 Freightliner semi driven by 62-year-old Wayne Douglas Ulrich of Russell.




18-year-old Elijah James Holmes of Natoma, a passenger in the car, was ejected.



Holmes, Krug and Ulrich were transported to Rooks County Health Center in Plainville.



Holmes was pronounced dead at the hospital at 11 PM Friday.




Krug and Holmes were not wearing seat belts according to the KHP.




Ulrich was buckled up.
