2 workers hurt in Erlanger construction accident

Two workers were injured Friday morning after a construction accident in Erlanger.
The workers were transported by medical helicopter to University of Cincinnati Medical Center on Friday after working at Sterling Cut Glass' new headquarters under construction on Olympic Boulevard. The workers' conditions and identities were not immediately available.

Al. Neyer is general contractor for the project, but a spokeswoman from the Downtown Cincinnati-based company said the workers were subcontractors.

"Our thoughts are with the two people who were injured," said Katy Crossen, a spokeswoman with Al. Neyer. "

We are doing everything we can to help them."

Crossen said the investigation in ongoing into the incident and Al. Neyer's safety consultants are working to determine how the workers were injured.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will likely be investigating the incident.
